BAPTISM

Baptism is the SIGN to OTHER PEOPLE that you have entered the visible church. It is the sign to YOU that God has accepted you. It is called a sacrament. A sacrament is an outward act, ordained by Jesus Christ, with an inner spiritual meaning. Something ordinary like water has special significance because it represents spiritual truths like the forgiveness of sins and the beginning of a new life. Jesus said baptism was necessary. Baptism is a sign that we have started a new way of life. Baptism is also a picture of us being raised from the dead. Baptism is the outward sign that we have joined the Christian church. This mean that God the Trinity is linked with us and we with Him. Baptism means that we are only at the BEGINNING of the Christian life.
